1st TIMD International Workshop in Indonesia

On 16th – 20th May 2008, TIMD Indonesia held its 1st International Workshop at Puncak, Bogor. A total of 30 over participants joined for this workshop. Majority of these participants came from Martial Arts discipline of TIMD, Tae Kwon Do, Kick-Boxing, Karate, Pencak Silat, Professional Stuntman and Wushu. Most of them are Instructors in their own fields and are inspired about the Mission and Vision of TIMD. We need to give special thanks to our National Instructor and Ambassador for Peace, Master Yudie Tanod who really takes up the ownership to help TIMD expands in Indonesia.

We are very pleased to have the presence of Master Don Harbour and Master Venus Augustin from TIMD International. During the workshop, Master Don Harbour gave techniques on Self-Defense and shared his life testimony and Master Venus Augustin gave the IEF lectures and TIMD training to the participants. Towards the end of the training, Master Don Harbour taught us that the Best techniques of all based on his life of Martial Arts discipline, is “True Love”!

At the end of the workshop we had a Promotion Test held for Black Belt. We had our Master Yudie Tanod being recommended for 3rd Dan Black Belt, 7 participants taking the Black Belt Promotion Test. Another good news we had is that, due to the good response from the participants at this workshop, Master Venus Augustin and Master Don Harbour also include the rest of the participants for the Promotion Test and will recommend to TIMD HQ further additional 12 participants for Black Belt promotion.

After the workshop, during a special dinner, Mr. Oscar, President - TIMD Indonesia and Mr. Yussuf Kamavu receive the award Honoris Causa TIMD Black Belt in recognition for their contribution towards the development of TIMD Indonesia

On the 21st May 2008, Master Don Harbour and Master Venus Augustin had a change to visit one of our TIMD Chapter in Indonesia, Merah Putih Branch. They were warmly welcome by the Ambassador for Peace Couple Mr. Andi Firman and Ms. Wahyuniati Subali with the TIMD students giving TIMD demonstrations to welcome our visitors
